The Turkish Navy receives the first batch of TUSAŞ Aksungur drones
According to Ismail Demir, head of the departmentdefense industry, the first batch of Aksungur UAVs was delivered to the Navy. Turkish attack drones manufactured by TUSAŞ have been successfully tested.
The new device is developed on the basis of the well-knownshock UAV Anka. It took a very short period of time to create Aksungur - 18 months. The first flight of the drone happened in 2019. The active use of the strike drone began in the second quarter of 2021. Now the new drone has already flown 1,000 hours.
Aksungur has six hanging points. They can be equipped with laser-guided missiles. The wingspan of the drone reaches 24 meters.
