Officially: OPPO will release Find X2 smartphone in 2020 with a new Sony sensor and Snapdragon 865 chip

OPPO announced the flagship Find X two years ago and since then there has been no new smartphone in this line. As it turned out,

the manufacturer did not close the project, but simply decided not to rush into releasing a successor.

What is known

Company representatives toldjournalists from XDA-Developers that OPPO Find X2 is in development. The smartphone will definitely receive a new 7-nanometer Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor with an X55 5G modem, which will operate in mmWave and sub-6GHz networks.

The new product will also boast a new modulecameras. It is being developed jointly with Sony and will have an increased sensor size for better light sensitivity, as well as All Pixel omni-directional PDAF technology. It improves focusing thanks to the microlens structure.

The smartphone still has to wait for an updated display. Most likely, this is an AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

When to expect

According to the company, the new flagship of the Find X line will be announced in the first quarter of 2020.
