Realme 3: an inexpensive smartphone with decent features

The young Chinese company Realme, which produces smartphones, entered the Russian market quite recently (literally this

in the summer) with three models at once:Realme 3, Pro version and Realme C2. The solution is quite logical, to offer users a choice of several devices with different characteristics in order to reach as large an audience as possible to get acquainted with their products. Let's take a closer look at the Realme 3 model.

Design, ergonomics

Like most state employees, Realme 3 lookssimple and cheap. Plastic body with a glossy surface with shiny patches. For this year, it has become something obsolete, because buyers are already tired of such cheap tricks, improving the look of cheap plastic. By the way, the Galaxy M20 also shone with a similar case, but this does not mean that all state employees are, for example, the Motorola G7 Play received quite an adult body with practical non-marking plastic. Perhaps the company is young, and thinks that it is fashionable to shine and sparkle. But such plastic doesn’t look more expensive, even from a distance.

On the back of the camera lens slightly protrudeBut the smartphone is quite stable on a flat surface. A fingerprint scanner is also installed there, the ground is slightly recessed, so there are no problems with fumbling. The scanner works quickly and without errors. The front panel has a drop-shaped bang on the screen into which the front camera is integrated. The cut is not very small, it looks larger than that of other models of similar design. Rough looks, but the smartphone is budget, so this is not a problem.

Screen

Display diagonal 6.22 ”, IPS resolution of 1520x720, the third generation Gorilla Glass protection is installed on top of the screen. The average pixel density is 271 ppi. Around the screen is 4 mm frame, at the bottom of the chin 8.5 mm. The viewing angles, thanks to the quality matrix, are maximum, with any color deviation remain the same. The saturation is normal, the shades go a little red.

Camera

Let's start with the selfie camera that got the sensor on13 megapixels, which is quite decent for a state employee. Of course, the flagship cameras are far away, but with good lighting (sunny day) the photos are bearable, there is a lack of detail and the background of the problem. If the program blur the background, then most of the defects are hidden and the pictures look decent. In general, the quality of the camera for this price segment can be considered one of the best.

The main camera, despite the fact that on the backThere are two lenses on the side, single because there is only one real-life module. It is equipped with a 13 megapixel sensor. The optional 2 megapixel module works as a depth sensor. The flash does not help much, its strength is not enough, and there is no optical stabilization. Like selfie cameras, the main one also does not shine with detail, there are noises. But on a sunny day, you can take decent pictures.

Performance

Smartphone as a processor received a chipsetHelio P60 from the company MediaTek. The stone combines 8 cores at two gigahertz and the Mali-G72 graphics accelerator at 800 megahertz. Onboard there are 4 gigabytes of RAM (there is a configuration with three gigabytes), a drive to choose from 32 gigabytes or 64. For expanding the storage, microSD cards are supported. As the main micro USB port.

If you look at the processor, then the Helio P60 is quitesuitable middle-level system, with the stone being the first to receive a separate unit for working with AI. Processor performance is comparable to the Snapdragon 636 chipset. The AnTuTu test shows 125,000 points. As for practical tasks, the smartphone normally pulls all the modern games that exist. The settings, of course, are average, since the screen resolution is lower than the flagships.

Autonomy

The battery here has a capacity of 4320 mAh, which is prettya lot for a state employee, but not a record. However, this battery provides very good autonomy. The smartphone overtakes most of its competitors. And no wonder - the screen eats less and the processor is energy efficient. The standard usage scenario for a smartphone is almost two days without recharging.
