Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC is already in development, according to a former Rockstar employee

Red Dead Redemption has already won the hearts of console gamers, but PC users have not yet joined the series.

However, after the release of the sequel, rumors began to appear that Rockstar was working on a version for personal computers, and now another hint has appeared.

What is known

In the resume of a former Rockstar Toronto employeethere was a mention (via Reddit) of Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC. Nan Ma worked at the studio for six years as a physics programmer. During this time, he participated in the development of GTA 5 for the eighth and ninth generations of consoles, as well as Red Dead Redemption 2 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and (drum roll) PC.

It doesn’t look like Nan made a typo, because in the column with GTA5 platforms are listed correctly depending on the generation. Moreover, for some unknown reason, the developer removed the mention of Red Dead Redemption 2 from the summary, which also says a lot. Rockstar does not allow employees to talk about unannounced projects they have worked on. Luckily, a Reddit user managed to take a screenshot of the page.

A similar situation happened with Michael Bibin, an artist from Rockstar India, who added GTA 6 to his resume and then quickly removed the mention of the game when the media discovered his page.

Note that Nan left Rockstar back in 2016year, two years before the release of Red Dead Redemption 2. It is possible that he worked on the team that was porting the game to PC and left when he fulfilled what was promised under the contract. Still, this is not the first hint of a computer version of a western: the first mention was found in a companion application, and then a video with a demonstration of RDR 2 for PC appeared on the Internet.
