Today Xiaomi announced the date for the presentation of the first TV of its Redmi sub-brand - August 29.

This was hinted at by the vice president of Xiaomi and the head ofRedmi brand Liu Weibing. On social networks, one of the users asked if Redmi Note 8 will be presented on August 29, and the Redmi executive responded with a hand emoticon with a thumbs up.
That is, we still expect to see a successor to Redmi Note 7 on this day. And maybe not just one.

Redmi 8 and Redmi are also expected to be released on August 29Note 8 Pro. Redmi 8 (or Redmi 8A) is the same device whose images and characteristics recently appeared in the TENAA database. It will have a 6.21-inch display with a resolution of 1520×720 pixels and a waterdrop notch for an 8-megapixel front camera, a dual main camera (12+8 megapixels), a processor with a clock frequency of 2.0 GHz (which one exactly? not specified), 2, 3 or 4 GB of RAM, 16/32/64 GB of storage and a capacious 5000 mAh battery.
Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro should receive cameras with four modules, but only the older version will have a 64-megapixel sensor. It looks like this is what we were shown in the production video.
