Researchers from University College London (UCL) have presented a project for the fastest Internet in the world
This is a joint project of the Royal Engineeringacademies, Xtera and Kiddi Research. Earlier, the record for the fastest connection was recorded in Australia - it was 44.2 Tbit / s. Researchers in the UK have made the internet four times faster.
To achieve this speed, the researchers used a wider wavelength range instead of standard fiber and enhanced technology to further increase the signal.
The Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications named the requirements for socially significant sites. Access to them will be free
In most countries, the Internet usesinfrastructure with a bandwidth of 4.5 THz. New commercial bandwidth of 9 THz has recently appeared in some countries. Superfast Internet uses 16.8 THz bandwidth.
According to UCL, upgrades to these amplifiers areonly a fraction of the cost of installing fiber optic cables. However, this method is experimental and the technology will not be commercialized in the near future.
