What is known

The German company Rheinmetall is engaged inmodernization of 30 Marder combat vehicles. This was officially announced by CEO Armin Pappenger. Work on the modernization of 30 armored vehicles should be completed by September 2022.

"Martens" (as Marder is translated from Germanlanguage) in modification 1A3 will be sent to other countries, which in turn will be able to transfer their own equipment to Ukraine. Apparently, the modernized German Marder will go to the land of Hellas, and Greece will supply 20-30 of its BMP-1s to Ukraine. This is the cycle of combat vehicles in Europe.
