sectors. It involves abandoning Russian antiviruses.

What is known

Romania is ready to abandon the anti-virussoftware developed in Russia for fear of cyberattacks on government agencies. Officials cite experts who say the availability of Russian antiviruses jeopardizes the safe functioning of Romanian authorities and public sector organizations.

In this regard, Romania did not become a pioneer. Now in all countries of the European Union there are recommendations on the rejection of software that is related to the Russian Federation. It is believed that with the help of such software, Russia will be able to carry out cyber attacks. However, the measure may be temporary. It is possible that Romania and other EU countries will lift restrictions after the victory of Ukraine.

State institutions should replaceRussian software within 60 days from the entry into force of the law. First of all, we are talking about products and services of Kaspersky Lab. There will be penalties for breaking the law.
