Rumors: Minecraft strategy is in development

Minecraft already conquered several genres outside of the usual sandbox thanks to the quest Minectaft: Story Mode,

diabloid Minecraft Dungeons and AR game minecraft earth. Looks like a real-time strategy game with nuance is next in line.

According to journalist Jeff Gertsmann, Mojang Studios is developing an unusual RTS based on Minecraft. What is known:

• Players will control a steve character from a third person perspective and issue orders to nearby units
• You will have to fight with several factions, including piglins
• The story and cutscenes are not yet complete, but the game is already being tested in some form.

Probably in development Double Eleven - the studio that helped Mojang while creating Minecraft Dungeons. The company is just looking for workers to develop a real-time strategy for a large franchise.
