Russian Post began to deliver cargo by unmanned helicopter

Russian Post together with the Aeromax enterprise tested an unmanned helicopter, which

it is planned to use it for the delivery of postal cargo to hard-to-reach settlements in regions with an appropriate climate.

Test flight conducted in Yamalo-NenetsAutonomous Okrug along the Salekhard-Aksarka route, which are located at a distance of 53 km from each other. The SH-350 helicopter-type drone was tested, which successfully delivered a mock-up of a mass-dimensional cargo.

These postal drones will be able to transport cargo weighing up to 100 kg over a distance of 150 km, the speed of the drone is 90 km / h, and the car can stay in the air for up to 6 hours.

In the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, 10 routes will be opened by the end of 2024. It is also planned to deliver goods along 48 routes in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, Kamchatka Territory and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug.
