Russian schoolchildren will start learning programming from the first grade

The document does not say when first-graders will start learning programming. First you need

undergo approval by the Federal Stateeducational standard and a new exemplary educational program - they can be adopted during 2019, then programming lessons will appear in primary schools starting from the 2020 school year.

Also, pupils from the first grade will start using the computer to study various subjects, including doing search for pictures and information, working with animation and data.

According to the concept, teachers will have tostudy new standards and improve their skills in computer science and programming, since more than half of Russian schools teach outdated programming languages.

It became known earlier that the Finnish authorities plan to train 1 million people in the skills of working with artificial intelligence and machine learning - about 25% of the country's adult population.
