Samsung has confirmed the release date of the Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G

There have been several opinions on the web about the release date of the Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G, which will be a sequel to last year's Galaxy

Fold. By the way, it was the first curved phone released by a major company, with one rumor pointing out that the Galaxy Z Fold 2 may not be ready in time and won't be unveiled at the August 5 Samsung Unpacked event. Others, on the contrary, indicated that the Galaxy Z Fold 2 will indeed be officially announced on August 5, and will go on sale on September 20. Now the official information has finally appeared.

Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G release

Samsung has posted a tweet containingan updated look of the butterfly logo that the manufacturer used on the first Galaxy Fold. The tweet read “A new look unfolds” followed by the date August 5th. The butterfly, by the way, is here in the new Mystic Bronze color, which Samsung is adding as an option to the continuation of the Fold lineup and the new 5G Galaxy Z Flip variant.

Recall that the 4.6-inch external display has becomeproblem for many users of the original model. The screen was so small and the bezels so large that using it for typing or many other functions was problematic. Many have found the tablet-sized internal display to be easier to open even for small tasks. But the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is expected to sport a large 6.23-inch outer screen with much thinner bezels. The internal ultra-thin glass (UTG) display is rumored to be 7.7 inches compared to the 7.3 inches found on the original device and is expected to have a 120Hz refresh rate. This should provide smoother scrolling for users and better animations for video games. It's unclear if the Galaxy Z Fold 2's external display will also feature a higher refresh rate, but we'll definitely find out on August 5th.

The flagship Snapdragon 865+ chipset shouldprovide high performance. The standard configuration will include 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. A 512GB variant is also rumored to be available. All versions of the phone will have 5G hardware, but 5G will be disabled in some markets. Multiple rechargeable batteries will provide a total capacity of 4365mAh; the battery will be rated at 25W for fast charging and 15W for wireless charging. The phone also comes with Sammy Wireless Power Share, which is known as reverse wireless charging. This lets you turn the back of the Galaxy Z Fold 2 into a wireless charging pad so you can share your battery with friends and family to help them recharge on compatible devices.

The price of new items is still unknown. Also on August 5, Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Note 20 series, the Galaxy Z Flip 5G version (powered by the Snapdragon 865+ mobile platform) and more. You can watch the presentation in real time at Samsung.com.
