Samsung cut the autonomy of the Galaxy S21 and S22 on One UI 5.1

In a few days, Samsung updated almost a dozen Galaxy smartphone models to One UI 5.1, along with which

brought a number of advantages of the Galaxy S23 series. However, there is a downside to this rapid update. According to Sammobile, several of their readers, as well as “guests” official Samsung forums complain about increased battery consumption after updating to One UI 5.1, as well as abnormal heating in some scenarios. It has not yet been possible to trace the pattern, but there is an assumption that an abnormally large amount is being spent on the Samsung keyboard. Korean support has already advised clearing the cache and keyboard data and rebooting the device (as usual, however).

Right now official comment from Samsungabout this situation is not present, which means that the causes of the problem have not been established. I must say, problems with updating old smartphones are not unique and happen to most manufacturers. The peculiarity of this story is that Samsung tried to give new software to everyone as quickly as possible, which could turn into compatibility problems. However, let's see how quickly everything will be resolved.
