The most popular Android smartphone this year is the Samsung Galaxy S8. With the release of S8 to the market, companies

Samsung managed to get ahead of Apple inpart of the release of a device with a frameless display. What about speed? How does the Galaxy S8 compare to Apple's flagship iPhone 7 Plus, released six months ago?

The new Galaxy S8 is the first Androida smartphone whose operation is based on the use of the latest and most powerful generation of processors from Qualcomm – 8-core Snapdragon 835 chipset. It also uses 4GB LPDDR4 RAM, which is 1 GB more than what is available on the iPhone 7 Plus. According to test results forthe performance of the creator of the YouTube channel EverythingApplePro, despite its superiority in technical specifications, the Galaxy S8 device clearly lost out to its rival iPhone 7 Plus, released almost six months ago. The Galaxy S8 smartphone lost not only in launching the most everyday applications, such as Instagram, but in launching heavy gaming applications, such as GTA V. The iPhone 7 Plus smartphone was also head and shoulders faster in tasks such as exporting a 4K video.

It was also interesting to note the fact that despite the presence of a larger amount of RAM in the Galaxy S8, it was the iPhone 7 Plus device that showed the best results in multitasking mode.

In the benchmark, the difference in performance betweenboth devices turned out to be not as significant as the results of tests suggest, close to the reality of everyday use of smartphones. According to the GeekBench benchmark, in the testing mode of all cores, the Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor in the Galaxy S8 (5929) was ahead of the Apple A10 Fusion processor (5917).

The only drawback of test data onthe performance is that they do not show how most of Samsung’s flagship devices significantly lose their performance after several months of use, while the iPhone’s device doesn’t.

What do you think of the Galaxy S8 smartphone now, when did the performance test results become known? Are you disappointed that he could not beat the iPhone 7 Plus in such simple tasks as application launch time?
