Volkswagen showed off its new electric car, the ID.6, today at the Shanghai Motor Show.
What is known
This is a seven-seat electric crossover that...made on the new MEB platform (from German: Modularer E-Antriebs-Baukasten). The Skoda Enyaq iV and Volkswagen ID.4 models are also produced on its basis. The car received a wheelbase of 2965 mm, length of 4891 mm, width of 1852 mm, height of 1679 mm and two versions: ID.6 Crozz and ID.6 X. They differ in some external elements, as well as in the interior. The technical characteristics of the machines are the same.
Basic configurations of Volkswagen ID.6 was equipped with one 180 or 204 hp electric motor, as well as 58 and 77 kWh batteries with a range of 436 and 588 km, respectively (NEDC cycle). There should also be a top-end version with two engines producing 306 horsepower and a torque of 310 Nm. Such a car will accelerate to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds.
Price and when to wait
Sales of the Volkswagen ID.6 will start this summer. The price tag of the crossover will be announced a little later.
