Next year, SpaceX will launch a fully funded satellite to the Moon.
The satellite, dubbed DOGE-1, will be launched onrocket SpaceX Falcon 9 in the first quarter of 2022, the Calgary-based company said in a statement. The device weighs 40 kg and is designed to receive "lunar-spatial information from sensors and cameras on board," the statement said.
The DOGE-1 mission to the moon will be the world's first mission to the moon to be paid for with Dogecoin. However, the full cost of the project has not been disclosed.
