Jumpship was founded in 2017 by Chris Olsen.(Chris Olsen) along with former Playdead CEO and co-founder Dino Patti. Dino is known for being responsible for creating some of the best indie games: Limbo and Inside. After the purchase, Patty will remain with Jumpship and will also take on a new role as a strategic advisor for Thunderful Games.

Jumpship's first game, Somerville, is a sci-fi adventure based on the aftermath of a large-scale conflict.The protagonist must find the whereabouts of his family after an alien invasion.
