The team's next project will be an interactivefilm Tell Me Why. The coincidence with the song is accidental. The plot will tell the story of twins who arrive in their hometown in Alaska to bring back memories of their dark childhood.

According to the developers, Tyler and Alison Ronanwill use their family connection with each other to make sense of their memories. Discovering new secrets, players themselves will choose which of the twins to believe, which will determine the development of the plot, as well as the relationships of relatives.

Dontnod will give screen time to both twins, and will especially affect the life of Tyler, who, according to the plot of the game, is transgender. The developers noted that they worked closely with the American non-governmental LGBT organization GLAAD to properly portray a non-traditional character.
