Tesla recalls over 80,000 Model 3, Model S and Model X electric vehicles in China due to defects

Chinese regulators require Tesla to recall more than 80,000 electric vehicles due to detected

defects.

What is known

We recently wrote that Tesla is forced to recallmore than 350,000 US Model S, Model Y and Model X vehicles. The cause was problems with the headlights and airbag. The company will now have to recall 70,434 Model 3, Model S and Model X vehicles assembled in the United States in China, along with 10,127 Chinese-built Model 3s.

Tesla Model X and Model S owners will receive a software update over the air. The firmware update will fix an issue that can lead to a rapid loss of battery power.

But the owners of the Tesla Model 3 will not workdo without visiting the service center of the company. The problem lies in the seat belt anchorages. If a defect is found, they will be replaced.

It should be noted that this is not the onlytrouble for Tesla lately. A few days ago, a Model Y car caused the death of two people. The car began to accelerate sharply for inexplicable reasons. The driver claims the brakes failed, but Tesla said the brake pedal was not being used during the incident.
