The developer of the indie project Dead Cells boasted about the sales of the game and the success of the PC version.

What is known

At the last GDC 2019, a game designer from Motion studioTwin Sebastien Benard said that Dead Cells was bought by more than one million players. The developer noted that 60% of sales were on the PC platform, where the game was released back in 2017 in early access. From there the project moved to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. On the Big N console, Dead Cells became one of the top ten most popular indie games.

Benard also said that the game was the lasta chance for the studio to change from black to white. Previously, Motion Twin worked on free-to-play mobile games, which only brought losses. Dead Cell became the studio's most ambitious project, which ultimately paid off the investment.

Let us remind you that on March 28 the game will receive freeexpansion called Rise of the Giants. The developers promise to add a new location with a boss, 13 types of weapons, 10 enemies and 50 costumes for the character.
