First assessments of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: a worthy restart of the best game in the series

Activision kept gamers in the dark until the last minute and only on the day of release lifted the embargo on reviews

After 15 reviews, Call of Duty rating:Modern Warfare (PS4) stopped at 86 points on Metacritic. Journalist Hardcore Gamer gave the project 90 points for its story campaign, which raises “uncomfortable topics,” multiplayer with a new customization system, and gameplay improved to modern standards.

The Games Radar journalist turned out to be the most critical,who gave the game 80 points. The author listed the graphics, controls and combat as pros, while the cons column included some “tasteless” missions and cars exploding at the wrong moment.
