The manufacturer of the first folding smartphone presented at CES 2020 a “smart” speaker with a flexible display. Again…

At CES 2019, Cleer introduced the Mirage smart column last year. Exactly a year has passed in Las Vegas

CES 2020 is taking place, and the Mirage column was brought back to it.

What does it mean

Only now is the “smart” Mirage columnmanufactured by Royole - the same company that brought to light the first (in fact) FlexPai folding smartphone. A column was created in partnership with Cleer Audio, as evidenced by the inscription on the case.

It seems, except for the inscription, practically nothinghas changed. It is still a capsule, as if floating in the air, with a flexible 7.8-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 × 1440 pixels. And this capsule is completely “wrapped” in the display.

Using the screen, you can control the playback of music and arrange parties at home thanks to the bright special effects.

There is also a 5 megapixel camera (it seemsin last year’s version it wasn’t), a single-chip Qualcomm Snapdragon 524 system (previously there was a Qualcomm APQ8053 processor), 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage and Amazon Alexa voice assistant support.

As for the acoustics - the speaker has three 48-mm speakers and a passive subwoofer with a total power of 30 watts.

Issue price

If last year they asked for $ 499 for Mirage, but now the rates have increased, and with them the price tag - up to $ 899. Sales promise to begin in the second quarter of this year.
