The OnePlus 9RT is said to be better than the twice as expensive Samsung S22+. And how did it work out?

The host of the SMART REVIEW channel compared the OnePlus 9RT and Samsung Galaxy S22+ smartphones in terms of performance and operation. Samsung really turned out to be better, but by how much?

The Samsung S22+ comes with a cable forcharging, but with OnePlus you get a case, cable, 65W power supply. In addition, a protective film is immediately glued to the 9RT screen. It is more convenient to hold in your hand without a case, while not the more compact Samsung, but OnePlus. The fingerprint scanner works faster on the S22+ too. The same can be said about the sound.

The displays of the devices have similar characteristics, butSamsung's screen is still better. It has good viewing angles, higher peak brightness (1600 nits versus 1300 nits for OnePlus), but its PWM is very strong.

Of the processors on the Samsung S22+, Exynos is installed2200 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (RAM – 8 GB), on OnePlus 9RT – Snapdragon 888 (RAM – 8/12 GB). The stress test results are approximately the same for smartphones. If we compare the S22+ version on Snapdragon and on Exynos, the first one will work much faster both in everyday life and in games. The autonomy of OnePlus and Samsung is average:they last for 6-7 hours with standard use and 4-4.5 hours at maximum brightness using the Internet. The battery capacity in both cases is 4500 mAh.

The S22+ charges quite quickly:by 69 percent in half an hour and by 100 percent – in an hour using 45 W charging. Although, of course, OnePlus outperforms Samsung on this point due to 65-watt charging: it takes 30-35 minutes to fully charge. At the same time, Samsung supports wireless charging, unlike OnePlus 9RT.

In terms of photo and video shooting, the leader isstill Samsung. Although if you compare pictures from the main camera, they will be very close in quality, whereas from the front – Definitely better on S22+. As for video, both devices can decently shoot in 4K 60 fps.
