Canalys Data
At the same time, the vision of the market from Omdia as a wholemore optimistic than Canalys data. However, they mostly differed in their assessment of what happens to companies outside the top 5. Canalys believes that their sales are also falling, by 10% overall, while Omdia is reporting a 4.5% increase. True, the basis of this growth is Honor, which is rapidly regaining its position in the market.
Note that according to Omdia, BBK remainssmartphone market leader: OPPO, Vivo and Realme combined sold 63.9 million smartphones, which is 1.7 million more than Samsung (and there is OnePlus, which Omdia considers a separate company). Canalys does not release its estimate for Realme's sales, but if it is close to Omdia's, then BBK maintains its lead despite a sharp decline in sales.
