The United States has banned the transport of lithium-ion batteries on passenger aircraft

The reason for the restrictions was safety requirements, the FAA said in a statement.Officials believe

that lithium-ion batteries can ignite during flight – such a situation will putBoth the crew and passengers are at risk.

The publication notes that the restriction is notapplies to the transport of personal smartphones, portable batteries and other devices with lithium-ion batteries in hand luggage. We are talking only about the devices in the baggage.

Earlier it was reported that in the next three years, almost80% of airports and 70% of airlines will begin testing passenger face recognition and biometric control systems. Technologies will allow to get rid of queues for passport control and reduce the time of pre-flight inspection.
