The US will purchase more than 13,000 AIM-9X, AGM-158 and AIM-120 air missiles, thousands of AGM-158C, Harpoon and NSM anti-ship missiles

ATACMS missiles and GMLRS precision projectiles. But that is not all.

What is known

In the National Defense Authorization Act(NDAA) indicated that the US Department of Defense will replenish the stockpiles of missiles. In particular, AIM-9X Sidewinder, AIM-120 AMRAAM and AGM-158 JASSM. They will be purchased in quantities of 5100, 5100 and 3100 units, respectively.

The United States will also allocate funds for the purchase of anti-ship missiles. We are talking about Harpoon, Naval Strike Missile (NSM) and AGM-158C LRASM - 2600, 1250 and 950 respectively.

In addition, the US military will receive 1,500SM-6 missiles and 3850 PAC-3 MSE interceptors for Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems. But that's not all. Below we have added a list of what other ammunition the US Army plans to acquire in 2023.

  • M107, M795, XM1113, XM1128 (864,000 units);
  • M982 Excalibur (12,050 pieces);
  • AGM-179 JAGM (12,000 pieces)
  • FGM-148 Javelin (28,300 units);
  • FIM-92 Stinger (5,600 pieces).
