The world's largest 3D-printed district will appear in Texas

 Icon has completed the construction of four homes in Austin, the capital of the state of Texas.In the course of our work, we used

Designs made using 3D printing. 

After the delivery of the houses, the company merged with the companyLennar to implement a new unusual project - to build 100 houses using 3D printing. So far, there is no information where construction will begin and what the layout will be.

But Icon said that each home will be for one family and will beSolar panels will be installed on the roof of the building to reduce electricity consumption. 

The authors emphasize that the houses will not be similar to each other, everyone will haveAll parts will be printed on the 3D printer Icon Vulcan model: it will beSqueeze out the cement mixture in layers to create the basic structure of each home.

After that, the builders will install a roof, doors, windows on the frame, and also bring furniture.

The start of the project is scheduled for 2022. The cost and the estimated completion date have not been specified.
