How much has changed in your life since 2019? Often, apart from new stickers and memes on your computer, nothing has changed at all.
Here is realme in 2019just came to Russia as a manufacturer that not even all the reviewers knew (hello to the boobies who giggled at the presentation and said that “it’s not at all clear who they are and who will buy it”). But realme's sales are gushing even in 2022, when it seems like everyone should have hunkered down with money and followed developments. What do they buy the most? Yes, in general, everything - smartphones, first of all, but also headphones, smart watches / bracelets, tablets, etc. And this is good not only for realme buyers (buyers already know all the advantages of the devices they bought), but also for everyone else. realme do not set exorbitant prices for their devices, which means they will not allow competitors to be "insolent". In general, the more choices, the better.
Well, don’t forget that this is just the tip of the iceberg, because realme release gadgets not according to the principle “we’ll try here, and we’ll do this, for good luck”, but according to a clear plan:
They call it the “1+5+T strategy”:
- 1 are smartphones, it all started with them
- 5 - top five categories of devices that realme deals with besides smartphones (TWS headphones, smartwatches and bracelets, TVs, tablets and laptops)
- T are partner devices.This is when realme sponsors the release of some devices that receive the “realme approved / compatible with realme” label. Relatively speaking, there may be routers that will work especially well over Wi-Fi with realme devices, or smart home sensors, etc.
Well, all this is combined into an ecosystem and configured through a single realme Link application for Android and iOS.
And today we have only a small part of thiscinematic ecosystem - two brand new budget smartphones. But it is precisely in such devices that there is a whole buzz, because absolutely anyone can stuff a Snapdragon 8 Gen + and set a price of 100+ thousand, and only a master can make a good inexpensive smartphone. And looking ahead, realme did.

If realme C31 has a fairly typical (forrealme) appearance (norm, but many other modern smartphones look similar) and resembles other models of the C series - the same C11… The realme C30 is an experiment, which I personally approve of. To my taste, the back of the C30 looks so cool that the smartphone looks at least like a middle-class model. The vertical striped texture is slightly reminiscent of a suitcase, and the sharp (but not digging into the hand) edges create an “expensive” feeling from a smartphone.
At the same time, the dimensions of smartphones are almost the same, the differences are literally half a millimeter on all sides.
An important difference between realme C31, as oldermodels - the presence of a fingerprint scanner, it is built into the side power / lock button. This is important because it is this model of the two that supports NFC and mobile payments (let me remind you that in Russia they work, for example, through Mir Pay).
With practicality, everything is super: both smartphones have a 3.5 mm jack, but they do not support FM radio. Also, in realme C30 and C31, you can install both two nano-SIM cards and a MicroSD memory card.
Screen
The screens of realme C30 and realme C31 have resolutionHD + and a diagonal of 6.5 inches, but most importantly, they differ from many competitors in high contrast, especially the C31 model, which has a decent margin of brightness.

Viewing angles for both smartphones are 180 degrees, with color reproduction is also all right. Well, thanks to smoothing the picture in Android 11, HD + resolution looks adequate even on such a diagonal.
At the same time, for IPS screens, smartphones have a rather low black level and a very high contrast ratio.
Performance and autonomy

Moreover, the C30 works a little longer due to the fact thatthat the C31 is slightly more productive. The difference, however, is quite small. We have a pretty tight battery life schedule, but just keep in mind that usually more expensive smartphones with AMOLED displays and more expensive processors (well, for 30 thousand rubles and so on) last longer. And not all in a row, but some.
Camera
How more expensive and more"sophisticated" model, realme C31 still takes better pictures than realme C30. In addition to the main camera module, which itself has a resolution higher than that of the realme C30, there is a macro camera and a depth sensor on the back of the smartphone.

Yes, these are not “ultra-night” and “ultra-zoom” cameras, but, as you can see, the quality is quite decent. For smartphones worth 10 (or a little more than 10) thousand rubles - so in general.

- realme c30is a “smartphone holiday”.It looks awesome, and you can choose from options for 7990 (!) rubles, and this will already be 2/32 GB of memory suitable for the “WhatsApp/Telegram/VK/Youtube” scenario in a very durable and reliable smartphone, for which there are plenty of cases, inexpensive spare parts (if you buy it for a small child or manage to break it yourself), and for which Android will be updated (which means there will be a foundation for working in applications for many years to come). Or you can get 4/64 GB for 10 thousand and generally feel great if you are not a fan of paying with your smartphone via NFC in stores.
Realme C30
In realme C31, you have a more strict appearance (inRussia loves this - so that it does not go out of fashion over the years), a fingerprint scanner, NFC for paying at the box office, and the basic version already starts with 3 GB of RAM. This one can be taken if you not only need correspondence and videos, but also play something. And, by the way, the display here is also brighter - it is enough in the C30, but this one is a little cooler in sunny weather.
“Is that all?” you ask? And that’s it folks – an achievement in itself for ultra-low budget smartphones. In which (I will remind you):
- Either the case "breathes", as if it is held on by double-sided tape
- Or the old version of Android, on which many applications snarl "I will not work on this antiquity." But the smartphone is not taken for six months, then it will be worse
- Or the processor of the times when the song "Crazy Spring" was a novelty
- Either the cameras are so embarrassing to take pictures of anything other than the bus schedule at the bus stop.
But realme is loved and adored by the people for the fact thatthanks to the frenzied circulation of smartphones sold, it makes a modest markup on them, as a result, we have processors from the recent flagship Snapdragon 820 in ultra-budget models, there are practically no drawbacks (taking into account the price), and even the pluses of involvement in the realme ecosystem, from which we started the article. It is unlikely that there will be more outstanding low-cost smartphones in 2022, so we would advise buying these before the ruble against the dollar starts to move in unpredictable ways again.
