Back in the middle of summer, it became known that the upcoming sub-flagship chipset Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 will shine
performance close to top-endSnapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Details of its architecture appeared in the fall, and now insider Digital Chat Station decided to remind about its imminent release. The surprise is the fact that, in fact, we are waiting for not one, but two 7-series chips: the SM7475, which will be released in the spring, between the first and second quarters of the year, as well as the SM7550, planned for the fourth quarter (October-December). The source has not yet mentioned the marketing names of the chips, but based on the naming tactics of previous models, we assume that Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1 will be released in the near future, and Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 by next winter.
Both chips will be produced by TSMC, and thereforehave a chance to avoid oblivion of Samsung's unnecessary Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, which has only hit two smartphones so far: OPPO Reno 8 Pro and Xiaomi Civi 2. By the way, the source directly mentions Redmi and Realme as companies intending to introduce SM7475 into their devices .
