Valve agreed to finalize the competitor's pocket console on Windows

GPD is known for making portable gaming devices, including the likes of the Steam Deck.

Now it became known that Valve itself decidedhelp her in optimizing SteamOS for the Win Max 2 Windows console. GPD representatives spoke about this in a conversation with customers on the Indiegogo crowdfunding platform.

Apparently, the company is ready to accept the help of a larger player. True, in this case, Valve will need a sample of the brand's console, as well as about six months for the optimization itself.

Note that Win Max 2 has a slightly different form factor than Steam Deck. The device is more like a small netbook, including due to the appearance, reminiscent of a clamshell.

Whether Valve plans to help other competing companies in the portable gaming market is unknown.
