What about support? Honor spoke about plans for Magic 5 and Magic Vs

The topic of supporting modern Android flagships has recently gained unprecedented proportions. Every

the manufacturer must report on thisquestion to fans who are interested in this issue, obviously due to the constant rise in prices of high-end devices. Last week, Honor showed three such gadgets at once – Magic 5, Magic 5 Pro (the same photo flagships on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2) and Magic Vs (an offer for lovers of foldable ones). Bloggers and journalists who attended the press conference asked Honor representatives about the terms of support and received the following answer: 3 years of new versions of Android and 5 years of security patches.

Thus, Honor expects to supportits best smartphones in the same way as Google with its Pixel series. The leaders in this indicator remain Samsung and OPPO (OnePlus) – 4 years of Android and 5 years of patches for Galaxy S23, OnePlus 11 and OPPO Find N2 Flip. These same devices will most likely compete in terms of the speed of release of Android 14 (Pixel is out of the equation, of course), but the timing of the release on Magic 5 is still a mystery.
