YouTube removed the sensational anti-war episode "Masyanya" about Mariupol and the bombing of cities

Today, the YouTube video hosting removed the anti-war issue of "Masyanya" called "Episode 162. St. Mariuburg."

Why?

As the author of the project Oleg Kuvaev told, YouTubereferred to a complaint from a user. A certain Igor Sobolev claimed copyright infringement - allegedly the view of St. Isaac's Cathedral in the cartoon was copied from his photograph.

“Although there is just a frontal viewIsaac, anyone who photographed him can complain like that. That is, the claim is highly dubious. Although pictures from the Internet, of course, were used, but how else to draw? By memory? There are no violations in this. However, YouTube was so scared of some kind of “Sobolev” that the cartoon with 4 million views was simply DELETED AT ALL! I didn’t block it, I didn’t temporarily block access ... I DELETED IT IN GENERAL! Youtube, why are you completely crazy? Oleg Kuvaev wrote on Facebook.

But after the social media frenzy, YouTube brought the episode back with the same number of views, likes, and comments.

Recall, “Episode 162.St. Mariuburg tells about the Chinese attack on Russia and the bombing of Russian cities. As everyone has already guessed, the author draws a parallel between St. Petersburg and Mariupol and shows how Ukrainians feel after the start of the Russian invasion. It is interesting that, according to the plot of the cartoon, the Russians are "evacuated" to Ukraine: Irpin, Bucha, Mariupol, where peace reigns.

“Empathy is the most important human emotion. The ability to empathize. The ability to put oneself in the place of another. This cartoon is addressed to those who, by some monstrous mistake, support the Russian-Ukrainian war, ”the description of the series says.
