Asus, as promised, has announced a stable version of Android 9 Pie firmware for the Zenfone Max Pro M1 and Zenfone Max M2 smartphones.
What is known
The firmware came out with the build number v16.2017.1903.050 and weighs 392 MB for those who participated in the beta test and about 1.5 GB for everyone else.

In the update, the developers changed the interface andadded many new features including AI-powered Adaptive Battery and Adaptive Brightness to optimize battery life and screen brightness. The new software also has the latest security patch installed.
When to expect
Smartphones in India have already started receiving the update.A little later it will be available in other countries. According to the company, starting next week, Android 9 Pie firmware will also be released for Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2.
