Stadia relies on the technology platform for online streaming of games Project Stream, launched by Google in 2018. At the base
The platform will allow the user to play one andthe same game from several devices - for example, from a smartphone, and then from a computer or TV. The transition between devices will take a few seconds, and the user will be able to continue from the same place where he finished on the previous device.
Stadia will be available in two versions: Stadia Pro allows players to broadcast games with HDR resolution up to 4K, at 60 frames per second and 5.1 surround sound. Its cost will be $ 9.99 per month, including access to the library of free games and discounts on games available for purchase.
The second type of subscription will be called Stadia Base - it is free, but streaming quality is limited to 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second with stereo sound.
At first, users will be available 12games: Doom Eternal, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, Metro Exodus, Baldur’s Gate 3, Rage 2, The Tomb Raider trilogy, The Division 2, Assassin’s Created Odyssey, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Borderlands 3, Mortal Kombat 11 and Darksiders Genesis. In the future, their number will grow.
Access to Stadia Pro users will be able to getalready November 14, but for this you have to buy Stadia Founder’s Edition package for $ 129. Stadia Base will be available in 2020 in 14 countries: USA, UK, Canada, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain and Sweden. In other countries, the free version of the cloud gaming service is likely to become available also in 2020.
