Google teams up with Intel and Microsoft to protect user data

Google, Microsoft and Intel became concerned about user safety and, together with seven other companies, organized

consortium for the protection of user data (Confidential Computing Consortium).

What is known

Together with Intel, Google and Microsoft onAlibaba Cloud, Arm, Baidu, IBM, Red Hat, Swisscom and Tencent will work on user security. The organization's goal is to promote confidential computing, common open source standards, and better data protection.

The consortium plans to complete three projects.Intel is working on developer tools (SDKs) that will help protect code and information from tampering and modification at the hardware level. Microsoft is working on a platform that will allow you to write code to run applications in the Secure Runtime Environment. Red Hat Enarx is working on a platform for creating “serverless” applications.
