How to take a screenshot of the entire web page on iOS 13 and iPadOS 13

On the new mobile platform iOS 13, the option to take page screenshots has finally been improved.

Adjustments made to this functionprovide a completely new experience for processing screenshots. During the presentation of iOS 13 at WWDC 2019, Apple did not say anything about this, but we decided to share our find.

Thanks to this new feature, Safari userswill be able to make full-page screenshots that immediately capture the entire web page, and not just the part of the page that is currently visible to the user.

This eliminates the need for the usercut to try to get as much information as possible, or take multiple screenshots of different parts of the page and then try to stitch them together to get a complete visual picture of the web page. Taking a screenshot of an entire page in iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 is actually very easy.

On iOS 13 beta 1, the function works as follows:

1. Use Safari to go to the website you want to screen.
2. Next, we use the usual combination of buttons foryour device to trigger the screenshot capture process. Devices without Face ID can use the Power + Home button, while devices with Face ID  can use the Volume Up button + Power button.
3. Once the screen shot is taken, you will beprovided a preview. Click on this preview, and then select the “Full Page” option at the top of the preview.
4. Click Finish to save.

This is an extremely simple way to do ita complete screenshot of the entire web page. But there are some nuances and limitations. This method does not work if another app is open in Split Screen. And the second caveat: this feature only really works for web pages, not for things like long WhatsApp conversations or Facebook news feeds.

In these situations, you still need to use the method of creating multiple screenshots and gluing them.
