Innopolis University has updated the Supervisory Board

The new Supervisory Board included Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Maxim Akimov, head

Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications Konstantin Noskov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development Ilya Torosov, President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of Communications of the Republic Roman Shaikhutdinov.

This decision was made at a meeting duringCIPR conference by the founders of the IT university - the Russian Federation represented by the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan represented by the Ministry of Information and Communications of the Republic of Tatarstan, Nikolai Nikiforov - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Diginavis company and former Minister of Communications of Russia.

Also in the new Supervisory Board receivedKirill Semenikhin, Director of the University of Innopolis; and Acronis Founder, General Director, Parallels Board Chairman, Sergey Belousov.

Maxim Akimov became the chairman of the council.

Supervisory Board - the highest governing bodyInnopolis University, which solves global issues and determines the strategy for the development of an IT university. The Council, including resolves all property issues, accepts the financial plan of the university and approves all the accounting reports.

Innopolis University ranks second among technical universities and first place among extrabudgetary universities in the ranking by the quality of admission, according to the joint monitoring of the HSE, Rosobrnadzor and the Ministry of Higher Education and Science of the Russian Federation. In June 2018, the Center for Technologies for Robotics and Mechatronics Components officially opened on the basis of the university as part of the NTI.
