“In certain cases, the control softwareThe SBS can automatically apply vehicle brakes to prevent or reduce collision damage, even if a collision is not imminent. If the SBS automatic emergency braking system unexpectedly activates while driving, the risk of a rear collision with a subsequent vehicle may increase, ”the company writes in a press release.
During operation, the system stopsthe car and warns the driver with a signal with a message on the display. Some Reddit users already had a problem when the car suddenly braked, although there was nothing around. Drivers tried to get rid of the error by banal disabling SBS, but, judging by the comments, the system turns on independently during the start of the car.
One user also said that his cars sometimes turn independently to avoid a collision:
“I have not yet encountered such a situation in mythe car, but I get the activation of other security features. A lane departure warning system turns my steering wheel to alert you when there is nothing closer ”
According to Autoblog, some models only need to upgrade or reprogram the system. With earlier versions of the car will have to change the electronic dashboard.
Mazda recalls cars affected by the issue andwill notify owners by email until February 17, 2020. Or, Mazda3 drivers can contact the manufacturer on their own for more information.</ p>
