Apple is reportedly working on a new version of its premium wireless earbuds, AirPods.
China Resource China Economic Daily reportsthat Apple’s third-generation AirPods will be introduced later this month (in October) and then will soon appear on store shelves in time for the Christmas shopping season. The report specifically refers to Europe and North America, but apparently the “next generation of headphones” will be released globally.
Until now, third-generation AirPods are most oftenreferred to as AirPods 3, but today it is claimed that Apple will instead sell them as AirPods Pro. This means that the third version of the headphones will receive even more additional premium features, plus the price will also be increased.
Speaking of the price tag, China Economic Daily believesthat they will cost about $ 260, which means that Apple is likely to price them $ 259, $ 100 more than the current generation AirPods, if we talk about buying them without a case for wireless charging.
What does that extra $100 do?A completely new accessory design that was recently revealed in some concept renders. In addition, several listening modes are expected. There will be a new noise canceling feature included and will be available as standard. By the way, it can be adjusted depending on the settings of each listening mode. Water resistance, an improved sound chip and extended Bluetooth range will also be included.
Apple AirPods Pro may launch onpresentations at the end of this month. According to some rumors, it is believed that this could happen on Wednesday, October 30, but Apple has not yet sent out press invitations to the long-awaited press conference.
What else can Apple announce if it hosts the October event?
In addition to the new wireless headphonesAirPods, Apple is reportedly preparing an updated iPad Pro lineup that could include a triple camera setup on the back that looks similar to the one found on the iPhone 11 Pro. The front end of Apple's next-generation iPad Pro models should remain unchanged from the current ones, but expect some internal updates. In particular, a more powerful processor based on the A13 Bionic and presumably called A13X Bionic. Currently, Apple ships its branded iPads with a minimum RAM of 4GB, but the company may increase the RAM to 6GB in the next iteration. You can attach it to personal items like your wallet or keys and track them using the Find My app on iOS and Mac. To make the process of finding items easier, leaks suggest that Apple Tags will include AR capabilities and the company's new U1 ultra-wideband chip, which is also included in the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro and provides extremely accurate location data.
Also at the October Apple event, byrumored to be presented 16-inch MacBook Pro with a thin frame, an updated Apple TV and a pair of in-ear headphones, which will be located above the current Beats lineup.
