The new Honor V30 and V30 Pro mark a new5G era for the manufacturer. Both models are actually 5G compatible, however, with a significant difference. The “standard” version has a Kirin 990 SoC, which is accompanied by an external Balong 5000 dual-mode modem supporting NSA and SA networks, while the Pro variant uses the Kirin 990 5G chipset, made on a 7nm process with a built-in modem (supporting the architecture NSA and SA also in this case). Both are dual-mode 5G/4G compatible, allowing users to access next-generation networks from both SIM cards.
