Sharp has prepared a folding TV that rolls into a roll

Earlier this year, LG unveiled the flagship LG Signature OLED TV R (OLED65R9), a TV that can

roll into a roll. Now Sharp is preparing the same TV.

What is known

The company has already patented several optionsfolding TVs. In three cases, the display extends upward from the base; in two more cases, the screen unwinds from above. In this case, the design resembles a projector screen.

The manufacturer already has a prototype of this“roll” TV: with a 30-inch display with 4K resolution, 0.5 mm thick and weighing only 100 g. The screen here extends from the bottom up and rolls up into a roll with a diameter of 4 cm.

This TV will be easy to pack and transport.

Sharp is expected to show off its foldableTV at Inter BEE 2019, November 13-15, and will have its world premiere at CES 2020 early next year.
