Skai can become the first flying taxi on environmentally friendly fuel.

Alaka’i has unveiled the Skai Flying Taxi, which will run on hydrogen fuel, which usually

used only in land transport.

What is known

Skai will be able to fly up to four hours at a distance640 km without environmental damage or long downtime, refueling in less than 10 minutes. It will carry up to five people or a total weight of 450 kg.

The six-engine design was developed jointly with BMW Designworks. Slightly rounded windows go to the roof, which provides a wide range of view to passengers.

The company is already planning to test the device, but beforethese flights must approve the project. CEO Steve Hanwi said it would take a decade or more before the flying taxi began to be widely used. But we will be able to see alternative uses of technology, such as air ambulances and cargo transportation.

Recall that this month the German startup Lilium has already experienced a flying taxi, which they want to launch in 2025.

A new type of transport will allow you to make longer trips over long distances and, possibly, reduce the number of traffic jams.
