The branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Siberia won a grant from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation to conduct large scientific projects on the topic
More than five scientific researchers will implement the grantorganizations: Institute of Hydrodynamics SB RAS, Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics SB RAS, Institute of Chemical Kinetics and Combustion SB RAS, Institute of Catalysis SB RAS and others.
One of the research topics is preparation forwork at SKIF. In particular, this will help to create a materials science station on the current equipment of the Institute of Nuclear Physics (INP) of the SB RAS. Now pioneering work in this direction is being carried out in the world and results are obtained that are very interesting from a scientific and applied point of view.

According to Pruell, it is nowscientific work began to educate people and develop research techniques using synchrotron radiation. In turn, work on materials science will be carried out in other scientific organizations included in the consortium.
The national project “Science” providescreation by 2024 of megascience-class installations (the name of a class of unique scientific installations in the classification of the Ministry of Education and Science in the national project “Science”), including the SKIF Collective Use Center (CPC) in the Novosibirsk Akademgorodok.
The SKIF Center for Collective Use will include not onlyaccelerator complex, but also a developed user infrastructure, experimental stations and a laboratory building. The launch of the first phase of the project is scheduled for 2024, the estimated cost is estimated at 37.1 billion rubles.
The grant is designed for three years.
