Children and youth recognized as the main distributors of COVID-19

In a study conducted by scientists from Princeton and the University of California, as well as

Johns Hopkins University, children and youth were recognized as the main spreaders of COVID-19.

To do this, the researchers studied information about 85thousand virus infection from India. Also, experts tried to establish the pathways of the spread of the disease thanks to the data on contacts of those infected. As a result, it turned out that often young people and women were the carriers of the disease. In addition, children are also among the main distributors. It is reported that children and young people account for about a third of infections, which suggests that this group is the main distributor of the virus.

To date, 1,194,643 infected with coronavirus infection have been identified in Russia. Over the past day, 9,412 new infections were recorded.
