Intel's first gaming graphics card can outperform NVIDIA flagship models

Intel has begun preparing users for the announcement of new devices. So, yesterday the company introduced a heavy-duty

four-chip video card, performancewhich amounted to a mind-blowing 42 TFLOPS. But this will apparently not be enough for the processor manufacturer, since Intel's first gaming graphics card may ultimately outperform NVIDIA's flagship models.

At least that's what the latest rumors suggest, according to which the new Intel graphics processor can contain up to 512 execution units, which will house 4,096 so-called cores – This is exactly the configuration stated for one Intel Xe HPG chip. As a result, if the number of cores is really the same and the frequency is 1.5 GHz, then the company’s newest video card will be able to demonstrate 12.2 TFLOPS! And this, we note, is more than the Radeon RX 5700 XT (with its 9.75 TFLOPS) and the flagship GeForce RTX 2080 (with 10.1 TFLOPS).

Recall that extreme leaks claim that a full-fledged announcement of the first video card from Intel should be expected in the near future. It is likely that this will happen as early as 2021.
