More than 80% of schoolchildren have complained of mental health problems due to distance learning

According to the data obtained, about 40% of students complain of depression. Moreover, more than half experience

difficulty sleeping. The authors of the study suggest that 37.2% of schoolchildren have obsessive-phobic conditions. About a quarter of students experience headache syndrome.

The majority (69.2%) of schoolchildren - participantssurvey during the coronavirus pandemic, they limited their movements and stayed at home. At the same time, they began to spend more time doing homework, studying with a computer or gadgets, as well as communicating on social networks. About a quarter of respondents (25.4%) reported insufficient sleep (7 hours or less);

Only for every eighth student(13.4%) we can talk about a favorable psychological and social adaptation to the conditions of self-isolation and distance learning. Only a third of schoolchildren (32.5%) managed to maintain an even and positive mood, 13.1% experienced depression, and 44.2% were characterized by repeated mood changes during the day.

It is noted that more than half of Russian schoolchildren reacted negatively or extremely negatively to the self-isolation regime.

The authors of the study claim that the smartphone -the most unsuitable device for learning, but it was the one that was most popular among schoolchildren. It was used for studying by (73.1%) students. The study states that “a modern digital school does not have healthy online learning technologies.” In addition, the data obtained indicate the need for mass psychological support for children.
