US Air Force completes deployment of B-52H Stratofortress nuclear bomber group and returns aircraft to Louisiana

The US Air Force announced the completion of the deployment of the B-52H bomber task force.

96th Expeditionary Bomber Squadronserved in the Indo-Pacific region. The planes were stationed on the island of Guam. Four B-52H Stratofortress nuclear bombers arrived in the region in March and returned to Barksdale, Louisiana last week.

Nearly 200 US Air Force pilots took part in the mission. During their stay in the Indo-Pacific region, strategic bombers made 29 sorties and spent more than 412 hours in the sky.

The deployment has demonstrated the abilitystrategic aviation aircraft will add success through joint work with allied countries. B-52H Stratofortress performed missions in conjunction with 30 other aircraft of various types.
