The US Air Force simultaneously took to the skies 36 F-16 fighters and 12 A-10 attack aircraft armed with AIM-9, AIM-120, AGM-88, AGM-65 missiles and JDAM bombs

Pacific Air Forces held an event called the "Mammoth Walk"

(Mammoth Walk). At Osan Air Base in South Korea, several dozen military aircraft took to the skies simultaneously.

What is known

The event took place on May 5, 2023, but the photos have only been released now. The pictures show 53 aircraft:

  • 36 F-16 Fighting Falcons;
  • 12 A-10 Thunderbolt II attack aircraft;
  • three military transport aircraft C-12 Huron;
  • two U-2 Dragon Lady scouts.

What is important, the aircraft carried military weapons.In particular, air-to-air missiles AIM-9 Sidewinder and AIM-120 AMRAAM, air-to-ground missiles AGM-65 Maverick, anti-radar missiles AGM-88 HARM and smart bombs JDAM.
