The UK plans todemonstration flights of the Eurofighter Typhoon FGR4 taking off and landing on the motorway for several months. This was stated by Air Marshal Harvey Smith (Harvey Smyth).
The event will be part of an effort tothat the exercises are as close as possible to real military combat operations. It is possible that in the event of a military conflict infrastructure will be destroyed or damaged, so the planes will have to do without ideal runways, and they must be prepared for this.
