A new video published by Estonian robotics and autonomous systems developer Milrem Robotics shows
The tank, called the Type-X, is designedso that the troops could "break through the defensive positions of the enemy with minimal risk." The combat vehicle provides them with "equal or superior firepower and tactical unit use" to those using IFVs. The company claims the Type-X's navigation and obstacle detection systems are powered by artificial intelligence, giving it an advantage over human adversaries.
The tank can be equipped with massive cannons,anti-tank missiles and even tethered drones for remote reconnaissance. During the latest tests, Milrem teamed up with the Norwegian company Kongsberg Defense and Aerospace to equip the tank with a 30mm cannon.
